Pumpkin Patch

Posted by Picasa
We had a good time at the pumpkin patch this weekend. Carter absolutely loved the hay ride and would have been content to ride that all day! He also enjoyed picking up, throwing, and rolling the pumpkins. I wonder at what point he will think that a pumpkin is a pumpkin and not just something somewhat round to throw and practice his pitching! Campbell was most impressed with the grass vs. the pumpkins. She tries to put everything in her mouth; grass, shoes, stickers, Bailey toys . . . you name it, she would attempt it!

Back at the beach

Posted by Picasa
Last weekend me and the kids met my parents at the beach for a long weekend. It was a little chilly but still very nice. I attempted to work on getting rid of my cast line from the last beach trip. We went shopping and ate so much yummy food. There were no crowds and best of all it wasn't hot or humid!

Almost healed

This is what my Xray looks like with the screw in place. I thought the skeleton picture would be fitting for Halloween! I am finished with physical therapy and now I just have 1 more ortho visit and I should be released. My foot is getting close to normal. I still hobble some and full shoes bother the incision point but all in all it's getting close to normal!

Pumpkins, teeth and a gator!

Carter, Campbell and Luke
Look at all these pumpkins!
Not smiling; of course

Yikes!

This past weekend we were in the Jacksonville, FL area to visit friends, family and to celebrate Brandon's late grandmother's life! We stayed with a flight attendant friend of mine; Jenn and her husband Zach. We had so much fun. They have a 6 month old named Luke so he enjoyed watching Campbell and learning new things! Carter had a blast playing with all of them and especially loved their dogs Zoe and Holly. Zach took Brandon gator hunting and they brought back an 8 ft. gator!!! They spent the wee hours of the morning on Saturday looking for the red eyes of gators and finally getting one! I will spare the details! Campbell worked on her crawling skills and she came home with 3 new teeth! She now has 2 on the bottom and 2 on the top. Saturday afternoon we took the kids to pick out pumpkins and Carter's highlight was playing in the hay! My camera battery died so I only have a few pictures but Zach is sending a bunch more so I will post those later. On Sunday we went to Ocala, FL for a memorial service for Brandon's late grandmother who passed away in April. We enjoyed the family time. We all enjoyed a fun weekend with friends and family and look forward to seeing everyone again.

Rare shot that both kids are looking at the camera!
Carter loves baseball!

Not so sure about the grass!

9 month stats

Weight: 16 lbs 15.4 oz. (every little bit counts) 25th%
Height: 28 1/4 inches 75th%
Head: 17.5 inches 65th%
Campbell had her 9 month appointment yesterday. Yippee for better weight gain! Last time she was in the 8th% so they are very happy with her weight now. Looks like all that butter in her food worked! Both kids got flu shots and did well so hopefully they will stay pretty healthy over the winter. Campbell's first year is truly flying by. She is crawling everywhere (mostly an Army crawl), she has 2 more teeth coming in, eats everything I make for her including spinach, broccoli, zucchini, squash and even okra, eats Cheerios like a champ and loves to wave and play Patty Cake. I really wish I could make time stand still some days!
Carter is doing great in school; from what we have been told. He really enjoys it and every Tuesday/Thursday on our way to school he says, "I'm going to church . . . nooooo . . . schoooooool, yayyyyyy!" He is going to church, his school is at our church! Maybe he actually knows the difference between a Tues/Thurs. vs Sunday?! He is learning all kinds of things at school, the alphabet, weather, numbers, songs, more words than we can count, he is speaking is full sentences and he is even learning some things that are rather new to us. I will spare the details on that one . . . let's just say in a class of 10 boys there seem to be discussions between them about certain parts of their body!!!! I thought we had a couple of years before we got in to this adventure!
