Happy 5 years

On the 19th, Brandon and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary. We weren't able to go an a trip because Campbell is so little but we are planning a big trip for our 6 year mark! We did go out to a very nice dinner and a movie. It was very strange being out without the kids, but it was wonderful at the same time! My how 5 years have gone by! We have so much to be thankful for and have been greatly blessed over the past 5 years! Here's to many many more!

Fun with Hampton

Over the past 2 weeks Hampton and his parents, Katie and Josh have been in Atlanta. Josh was here for work so Katie and Hampton came too. We had fun during the times we got the kids together. We went to Imagine It- the Children's Museum downtown- IKEA, and 2 days they just came to our house to hang out and go to the park. They also came out one night to go eat Mexican; our favorite! Carter and Hampton had lots of fun playing and dancing! Katie and I enjoyed getting together again and we all enjoyed little Miss Campbell. Thanks Katie and Hampton for a fun 2 weeks! We'll see you in B'ham soon!

2 year old

Carter's birthday

Birthday morning
Loves balloons
Chuck E Cheese
Future driver
Campbell loves Chuck E Cheese too

For Carter's actual birthday we took him to Chuck E Cheese. He had a great time and we all left exhausted! It's not a place that we could go too much; talk about over stimulation! Carter's favorites were any of the games that he could steer or any game with a ball he could throw. He loved the skee ball, but the 10 year old girl that had her goal of getting the most skee ball tickets in the least amount of time wasn't very fond of Carter! Then we came home and Carter opened his gifts from us. The annual baseball cards were a big hit and he loves the scooter! The 2 year mark has come and gone! We are now exploring all the adventures of a 2 year old! Some are not so fun; like throwing himself down in the floor and screaming when he doesn't get his way! My parents always warned me of this and I think were silently wishing for payback!

Celebrating Carter's 2nd

Posted by Picasa

Happy Early Birthday

Over the weekend, my parents along with my brother and his wife were here to celebrate Carter's 2nd birthday! Carter had so much fun and was really in to opening gifts this year! When we sang happy birthday to him he had a big grin on his face and then he tried to hide! It was really cute! We went to eat Mexican that night and they sang to him as well; that time he almost cried! We had a really fun weekend; thanks Mimi, Pop Pop, Uncle Kirk and Aunt Lacy!

Campbell is 3 months

My how time flies! Campbell turned 3 months old on Wednesday! She is doing so well! She is sleeping 8-10 hours a night in her crib; all thanks to the Miracle Blanket! Although, she will be growing out of it soon, but hopefully she will still sleep as long! Last week Campbell rolled from her stomach to her back for the 1st time! She is constantly smiling, cooing and talking in her our little language! The other day while I was out, Brandon said Carter and Campbell were talking back and forth to each other! I was sad that I missed it! Carter is still smitten by Campbell and the other day I stopped him just as he was picking her up! Yikes! Carter will be 2 next week! It seems like just yesterday he was turning 1! Carter talks all the time and tries to say everything!!! His daddy is teaching him to say words that he shouldn't, like dork and geek! While I have gotten on to Brandon for teaching Carter such words, it's really funny to hear him say it though! Carter is also starting to speak some sentences. The other day he said, "Where did Daddy go?" He said it just as clear as could be! Wow, where did that little baby boy go? Carter is learning to buckle his car seat and cheers gleefully once accomplished! He also LOVES the vacuum cleaner! This is the same child that was scared out of his mind with the same vacuum cleaner! Not sure how he overcame his fear but now he is the opposite extreme! He gets so excited when I say we are going to vacuum and he constantly says vacuum until I actually take it out of the closet. Then he cheers and claps the whole time I am vacuuming! I must say, it's much easier to vacuum with a cheer squad!

We are having our patio extended in our backyard! We are so excited to have more on the patio for cookouts and fun! Carter is loving watching the project take place! I think his favorite of all was watching the cement truck!
