Babies who need prayers
I am not sure how or which blog led me to these 2 but both of these families need many prayers for their little bundles of joy that are in critical condition. Visit Kelly's Korner and Jenna's Journey and pray for their little ones to be healed. Prayer is powerful!

Birthday celebration
On Saturday we had Campbell's birthday celebration with my parents, Mimi and Pop Pop and my brother's family, Kirk, Lacy and Madi. Campbell could not get enough of her cake! She loved it! Guess that's what happens when one that has the potential to love sugar gets it for the first time! Carter helped me make the cake and was so proud. Though he was more excited about eating it! Carter also enjoyed "helping" Campbell open her gifts. Carter is a pro at opening and is already counting down the days/months to his birthday!
Campbell turns 1
Is it really possible that a year has come and gone in the blink of an eye?! Campbell turned 1 on January 2nd. It also amazes me how much children can learn in 365 days! Campbell can do so many things. She is a master at crawling and can even stand all by herself without holding on to anything. She has incredible balance; maybe she will be a ballerina; but hasn't taken a step on her own yet. She'll get there! She has 8 teeth and loves Cheerios! She can say "Dada" and "Bye bye." She can wave, blow kisses, play peek-a-boo and the sign for milk. We are working on getting her to drink milk out of a sippy cup but right now, milk from a sippy cup seems totally foreign to her! Campbell is very dramatic; I hear this is payback! She can throw a royal fit and has the highest, shrieking shrill I think I have ever heard! She sure does enjoy being heard! Most of the time she and Carter get along unless she decides to take his train set apart or play with his cars. Her hair is slowly growing on top but continues to get more curly on the bottom. Wow, what a year!
Happy Birthday baby girl!
Happy New Year
It's a tradition in our house to eat black eye peas and turnip greens on New Year's day. While I am not superstitious; the traditional meal is a must. I actually enjoy the traditional meal, but for the record, I have never been more rich/lucky or more poor/unlucky by eating or not eating as much! We decided to let the kids see what they liked and Campbell loved the black eye peas but frowned on the turnip greens. Carter wasn't a big fan of either! We had a good family day with my parents in town! Here's to a Happy 2009!
