St. Joseph

St. Joseph is here, ready to be buried!
PRAYER TO SAINT JOSEPH FOR SELLING A HOUSE

O, Saint Joseph,
you who taught our Lord
the carpenter's trade,
and saw to it
that he was always properly housed,
hear my earnest plea.
I want you to help me now
as you helped your foster-child Jesus,
and as you have helped many others
in the matter of housing.
I wish to sell this house
quickly, easily, and profitably
and I implore you to grant my wish
by bringing me a good buyer,
one who is
eager, compliant, and honest,
and by letting nothing impede the
rapid conclusion of the sale.

Dear Saint Joseph,
I know you would do this for me
out of the goodness of your heart
and in your own good time,
but my need is very great now
and so I must make you hurry
on my behalf.
Saint Joseph, I am going to place you
in a difficult position
with your head in darkness
and you will suffer as our Lord suffered,
until this house is sold.
Then, Saint Joseph, I swear
before the cross and God Almighty,
that I will redeem you
and you will receive my gratitude
and a place of honour in my home.
Amen.

Playing nice

Wow, they actually do know how to play nicely together! Most of the time one or both are screaming because one or both have taken a toy the other thinks they can't live without for the moment! Gotta love siblings!

1 year stats

Campbell had her 1 year check today. She is doing everything right on track. We classify her as "walking" now. She can take about 7 steps before she decides it is still much faster to crawl! She continues to keep her "model stats" by being tall and skinny!
Weight: 18 lbs. 11 oz. (15th%)
Height: 30.5 in. (90th%)
Head cm: 17 3/4 in. (50th%)

Beautiful weather

Not sure about the grass!
Likes to play with mulch though!
"You really want me to walk?"
This weather is absolutely amazing! I took the kids for a wagon ride down to our neighborhood park the other day and they loved it! We enjoyed the fresh air and just being able to run and play! How blessed we are! Campbell has taken a few "mini" steps but none that I would count as walking! She is so very close though.

Glad the week is over

I am glad last week is over! Both kids were sick and it was freezing outside! I took Campbell to the doctor on Monday because she had an ear infection, then I was back at the doctor Tuesday afternoon with Carter who had croup! Carter was perfectly normal on Monday while there but Tuesday he woke up with a fever and the familiar sound of a seal! When I called the doctor and they heard him cough she said to bring him right in! When the doctor listened to him she said he was so bad he needed a double dose of steroids right away! Yikes! But thank goodness we didn't have to go to the emergency room. For the most part, Carter acted totally normal; there has to be something majorly wrong to keep him down! The steroids made Carter literally bounce off the walls! I have never seen him act so crazy! Little Miss Campbell had her 4th or 5th ear infection; I am losing count. I am hoping with the warm weather the kids will get back to being healthy again!

The excitement of the week came when Carter's new car seat arrived! Carter was so excited! He woke up from his nap and saw it sitting in the study and he literally jumped for joy! As soon as Brandon got home from work, Carter wanted him to put it in the car! We have been talking for a while that Carter would get the new big car seat and he would pass down his old one to Campbell. Although, at the rate Campbell is growing she may be in the infant car seat for another year! She is just going to be little. At the doctor she only weighed 18 lbs. 8 oz.! It probably doesn't help her case that she HATES milk! She even notices the color difference between the milk and water and won't take the milk! If she does actually take a sip she quickly closes her eyes and spits it out! I have even tried adding strawberry powder to it and that doesn't work!

The bigger excitement is that we are getting ready to put our house on the market. Indeed we may be crazy but we would love to take advantage of the great buys out there. We have totally outgrown this house! We need a basement and 1 or 2 more bedrooms! We have talked with several agents and are determined we will not give away our house! So with the warm weather approaching we are hoping the perfect couple is out there just waiting for the sign to go in the yard! At least that is what we are praying!

Carter loves his new Britax car seat . . . complete with 2 cup holders!

Campbell loves playing with Carter's trains . . .

and Bailey's crate!
