Sunday at the pool
This was Campbell's 1st time in the pool float. Poor thing, she doesn't weigh enough to keep her upright, she kept falling over! Hopefully soon she will be a pro in the float! I am pleased to say she is gaining more weight now that she eats lots of food. Her absolute favorite thing to eat is peas!
Zoo Atlanta
On Saturday GE had a day at Zoo Atlanta! It was fun but HOT! As you can tell from the pictures, the kids were hot. Carter had fun playing in the tent they had set up in the zoo. We had hoped Carter would let them paint his face, but no way. It took all I had to get him to wear the animal visor and even that was almost impossible. He was not happy with me trying to get him to wear it. He did enjoy the "animal encounter" though; a milk snake! Yikes! He even touched it!! Carter's favorite of the whole zoo was the zebra! We have a book we have been reading that has zebras in it, so Carter was fascinated. Even the zebra we came home with went to sleep with Carter that night. We all like the zebra except of course the dog, Bailey. He is ready to attack the thing! Campbell slept through her first encounter with her future AOPi mascot; the panda bear! Thanks GE for such a fun family Saturday!
Carter's train set
Carter figured out how to put the train tracks together by himself! It was amazing to watch how he could do it himself. We were all so proud! Now, if we could only teach him a lesson in the positive and negative of magnets everything would be perfect! He gets so frustrated when the trains don't connect the way he thinks they should!

Cereal eater
Birmingham Zoo
Last week while Brandon was out of town I took the kids to Birmingham for the week. On Wednesday, my mom kept Campbell and I took Carter to the zoo where we met up with my college friend, Katie and her son Hampton. We all had lots of fun but it sure was HOT! The boys enjoyed a picnic but I think the highlight of the day was the train! Carter said, "Weeeeeeee," the whole time he was riding tha train! They sure were tuckered out though. Carter was asleep by the time we got to the car! Thanks Katie and Hampton for a fun zoo day!
Fun pool times
This was the day I took the kids to the pool by myself! I must say, I was pretty proud of myself! I was pushing Campbell in the stroller and pulling Carter in the wagon to get there; I am sure it was a funny site for the neighbors! We had lots of fun. Campbell napped in the shade while Carter and I played in the pool! Carter loves the pool and is quite comfortable in the water. He can now keep his mouth closed and kick his legs. We are working on him paddling with his arms. Yes, I know that water wings aren't the best but Carter likes them, it gives him some freedom in the pool and it takes the edge off of me while tending to 2 children around water! He is getting enrolled in swim lessons in July though.

5 months
Happy 5 months!
Campbell turned 5 months old on Monday! My how the time has flown! She is still really skinny; unofficially she is 12.5 lbs.!!! She is very long though. We are anxiously awaiting for Campbell to get more hair and the "mo hawk" look to disappear! She smiles all the time but her biggest grins come when Carter is playing with her. Or even when Carter gets in trouble, Campbell thinks it is very funny! Ahhh, is the sibling rivalry already starting?! Carter is now sleeping in his twin bed! After the October/November bed battles we decided to give the twin bed a rest and try again later. A few weeks ago, I put Carter in his twin bed for nap and he stayed there and slept for 2 hours! I was a little scared to try it that night but we did and again he stayed in the bed and slept, without so much as a whimper!!! Carter hasn't turned back! I am so proud of him but yet a little sad that he is really a big boy now! We took the crib down last week so now his room looks like a normal little boys room fill with all kinds of baseball stuff. A friend of mine made a beautiful baseball quilt for Carter after he was born and each night Carter looks at the quilt and talks all about "the baseball game!" Carter talks non-stop now and tries to say everything! He loves to mimic people and his favorite time to do so is in a store after he hears some other child screaming! All the joys of having a 2 year year old!
