Watching Daddy

Carter watched his dad play baseball for the first time yesterday. Brandon is playing in a mens baseball league this year! He was recruited by another guy that lives in our neighborhood. We'll see if his youthful college days come back! Carter enjoyed watching Brandon play and I know we will spend many Sunday afternoons at the ballpark! We gave Carter a baseball on Saturday and he wouldn't let go of it! I am sure he will follow in his daddy's footsteps and be an awesome baseball player!

Touchdown Auburn

"Touchdown Auburn!" Carter has finally learned to raise his arms above his head when we say, "Touchdown Auburn!" It's so cute and should be perfected by the first Auburn game! Carter also said, "Mama," for the first time today! He could even repeat me after I said it! Yippee, his first word!

Leaves

In November 2006 my favorite picture of Carter was captured. We were having family pictures taken at the Botanical Gardens in Birmingham. One of the trees had all these beautiful yellow leaves that had just fallen. For fun, we covered a boppy with a white blanket put Carter down and covered him in leaves! He LOVED it! Of course he wanted to put them all in his mouth! I refer back to this picture often. The innocence of childhood and the amazement of touching leaves for the first time is so apparent!

Ready to play

Carter is ready to play with his grandpa! Brandon's dad is in town for the weekend from upstate New York! He brought Carter 2 very fun pop-up books and a play telephone that he had just finished opening. Carter was showing off his crawling techniques among the wrapping paper!

No more highchair

Carter is such a big boy now! We put the highchair away this weekend and started him in the booster seat. He loves his new seat! We are working on him eating out of a plate and with a spoon. Carter has also realized that our dog Bailey likes to eat the food he throws on the floor, therefore making it a fun game; for him!

Carter and Hampton

This picture was taken a couple of weeks ago when my friend Katie came down to visit. Her son's name is Hampton and he is 3.5 months old. I think Carter and Hampton are going to be best buds!

My favorite thing

Crawling thru my bouncy car is my favorite thing to do these days! I usually crawl thru the car to get to the kitchen from the family room! Obviously you can tell this picture was taken before my 1st haircut!

1st haircut

This is Carter after his 1st haircut! They put gel in his hair so it was a little spiked at the time! Who knew an 11 month old needed hair gel!
